The perfect golf swing necessitates that the hands be the hinge that connects the club to your arms and shoulders. The goal is to have the clubface square with the targte line throughout as much of the motion as possible.
The leading writs is key, more specifically, right at the top of the backswing .The wrist needs to stay straight at the top of the backswing, and you'll observe this effect in every pro level swing you see.
Let's start from the beginning. . So, a little tip on grip; put your left on the the club so the " V" formed between your thumb and your index finger points to your right shoulder. This might feel a little bit awkward at first. Now your hands are ligned up properly. That means that your " V" on your right hand also points to your right shoulder when you put it on the club.If this feels strange, again, that's okay. Take the time to get used to it.
Practice, practice, practice. I can also explain just why it's so key. Here is a list of how to do it:
It's actually really not very hard. pay close attention. Forget the rest of your mechanics, and just think about that wrist staying straight. Don't even move at this point. .
You're not going to be moving it very far. Again, keep the rest of your body still. Turn your head and peek at the position of your club. Your leading wrist will be straight, your trailing wrist will be bent back toward it's corresponding forearm, and the club should be making approxamitely a 45 degree anglew with the ground. Ok.. that's the move. .
It may be that you will notice that your backswing is a tad shorter... that's ok. Next:
